How Do I Decide On My Design Style?

We produce a website based on a sample look that you send us along with your verbiage, photos, logo and color choices. We request that you send us all this material within 7 days of filling out our web design form, signing our agreement and making your deposit.

 

I already have hosting & a domain name, will you still design or re-design my website?

Absolutely. We will be happy to work with your current hosting and domain services to design, re-design or maintain your website. There is no obligation to register a domain name or host your website with us. In fact we encourage EVERY ONE of our clients to register for their own domain and hosting with GoDaddy, so you own it yourself. This leaves you in control of your site. We must be granted either FTP or Microsoft FrontPage access to your current hosting account in order to start or make changes to your site.

What counts as one "page" of a website?

While it is POSSIBLE for a single web page to contain an infinite number of images or words, we define ONE custom web page as "a static HTML page containing up to 1000 words of text and/or a gallery of up to 20 images and/or an online feedback/contact form containing up to 20 form fields. No animations and no dynamic content."

If I Need Graphic Design, How Can I Get logos or graphics for my website?

You must provide the text copy for each page of the site and submit any logos or photos that you want us to include on the site. If you need design help we will refer you to our graphic design expert. We code and format the content, design and develop all framing graphics for the site's design, and we do have a limited gallery of generic "stock" photography if you have no images to provide.

I have merchandise to sell online. Do you create secure e-commerce online stores?

??????? YES! If you are selling a very limited number of products, we highly recommend using PayPal (a PayPal account requires no setup fee and no monthly merchant fees and includes the necessary security). For larger shopping carts (more than 5 to 10 products) we recommend a full-scale online store with back-end administration to ease the burden of adding/editing/ deleting products from the site.

What other marketing and/or design services do you provide?

We offer an extensive variety of marketing and graphic design services ranging from custom logo design, online database development, email marketing, prospecting services, search engine optimization, submission, pay-per-click marketing and all traditional media, public relations and marketing services.

How much does a web site cost?

Asking how much would a web site costs is like asking how much a house costs. Web sites can range from simple one-page brochure sites to complex sites. Generally speaking we charge about $75-$125 per page.

How do I tell you what I want my website to look like?

Once you have purchased your Bold Custom Website Design, we will send you a Website Development Packet via email which will enable you to describe your color preferences, indicate your page titles, and describe your expectations for the site's design. You can then send us any necessary logos, photos and text via emails, fax or regular mail.

Is Flash good for my web site?

Avoid Flash web sites at almost all cost because it lowers usability. Flash encourages design abuse as it slows web sites. There is nothing worse than visiting a web site and having to wait for a clever Flash animation to load. Your customers are visiting your site because they are looking for a product or service. Please, don't try to turn the Internet into television. Your customers, for the most part, could not care less about viewing a flash movie. Sorry, the "skip intro" button is not much help either. Flash intros are slow, obnoxious, and will result in loss of revenue. Don't add flash as a cool factor. Unless it serves a purpose, forget it.

How many design revisions can I submit?

Generally speaking our clients do not need more than 5 revisions. That’s the purpose of our questionnaire. Based on the information that you provide in your Website Development Packet, we will produce your initial home page design. We want you to be satisfied with your new website's design and we will refine changes 5 times.

How long does it take?

We will begin to work on your website IMMEDIATELY upon receipt of your deposit payment and your Website Development Packet. Typically the process takes one week to one month from the date of purchase to the day that the site is posted live under the domain name, depending upon the scale of the project and the rate at which you provide the information necessary to complete the site.
